Autumn is right around the corner, meaning it’s just about time to “fall,” into gear and get our homes prepared for the season! Before you know it, family will be coming in from out of town for the holidays. Maybe it’s finally time for them to see your newly decorated dining area, or new appliances (that don’t look very new anymore). We’ll show you how to spruce up your flooring and get your kitchen ready for the turkey, the pie, the spooky cookies, whatever your tradition is!
Dining Room Floors
If you have hardwood floor in our dining area, light the chandelier and take a gander at its condition! Notice any scratches, discoloration? It’s normal for flooring to suffer wear and tear, especially in high traffic areas. If you have children, you eat here often. If you have pets, they’re in here just as often (begging for your table scraps, right?). Consider contacting a professional to have your hardwood flooring refinished before the family comes in!
Sinks, stove tops, tile and grout. Our mothers always seem to spot their filth! Fortunately, you can use a steam cleaner to take care of all of these areas. This will have your kitchen looking like new, and it won’t require any harsh chemicals that could potentially be harmful to your children or pets.
This may also be a convenient time to consider having your carpets professionally cleaned. Start by vacuuming them thoroughly, and maybe dust the baseboards while you’re at it. Steam cleaning the carpet will work wonders on removing stains (new or old) and unwanted odors. Not to mention, With cooler weather approaching, we might be able to open our windows to help the carpet dry out quicker. Go ahead… light that pumpkin spice candle!
